![]() So I was keeping that and keeping it in full force.īut I was getting out of Afghanistan, and we would have gotten out with tremendous strength and dignity and power and respect. We spent billions building this base, has the biggest and longest runways in the world, and it’s one hour away from where China makes its nuclear weapons. We were gonna keep Bagram, not because of Afghanistan. I got it down to 2,000 we were getting ready to pull them out, but we were pulling them out with very great strength. I wanted out of… After 21 years, I wanted out of Afghanistan. ![]() ![]() I think they know, and I think they see, and you know oftentimes they say, “How could this be a 50-50 party system when you look at no voter ID, defund the police, sanctuary cities, open borders where criminals are allowed to pour in?” When you look at people that can’t even get out of… You know, I got it down. Do you think the American people have finally seen enough and know enough about what’s going on at the border that they’ll take action this fall and winter? It’s likely that this year will be worse as well. PRESIDENT TRUMP: Strongest border we’ve ever had.īUCK: And last year was the worst - by the numbers, not a subjective analysis, the worst - for illegal apprehensions at the border that we’ve ever seen since we’ve been counting. Very sad.īUCK: Do you think the southern border is just gonna continue to deteriorate?īUCK: Last year under the Biden administration… So, under your administration you put in place Remain in Mexico. And you know what the response was from Biden? There was no response. But here’s a guy that says, you know, “I’m gonna declare a big portion of Ukraine independent,” he used the word “independent,” “and we’re gonna go out and we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna help keep peace.” You gotta say that’s pretty savvy. Had I been in office, not even thinkable. Very, very well.īy the way, this never would have happened with us. Here’s a guy who’s very savvy… I know him very well. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. That’s strongest peace force… We could use that on our southern border. I said, “How smart is that?” And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. So, Putin is now saying, “It’s independent,” a large section of Ukraine. I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, “This is genius.” Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine - of Ukraine. PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, what went wrong was a rigged election and what went wrong is a candidate that shouldn’t be there and a man that has no concept of what he’s doing. What went wrong here? What has the current occupant of the Oval Office done that he could have done differently? President, in the last 24 hours we know Russia has said that they are recognizing two breakaway regions of Ukraine, and now this White House is stating that this is an “invasion.” That’s a strong word. You can take the five worst presidents in the history of our country and put ’em together I don’t think they’ve done the damage that this administration has done.īUCK: Mr. I don’t think our country has ever been so low. But many of these countries are emptying their prisons like we’re a dumping ground right into our country. Millions of people are bum-rushing our country.Īnd many of these people come from prisons. Who could forget the border? Millions of people, not two million or one million, like they say. You look at all of the different things that are happening so bad for our country. I think that has a lot to do with what’s going on in Ukraine. This is a disaster what’s going on, whether it’s Ukraine or the Afghanistan pullout, which I think is the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country. And I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that what I said was right. ![]() But the polls have been extraordinary: 96% approval rating - and saw one this morning, 98%, but 96% approval rating - in the Republican Party and doing well with independents, doing well with women, doing well with everybody. PRESIDENT TRUMP: You take the worst politician in America I would imagine that that person would be winning. And I guess against Biden, but who wouldn’t be winning? If you look at what’s going on, anybody would be winning. And politically I guess you see the polls, and the polls for me have never been higher. PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, we’ve been doing really well. How are you doing as we roll into what is gonna be a really interesting 2022 season for sure? It is absolutely incredible and phenomenal. Buck and I have been walking around this estate. CLAY: We are live from the majestic Mar-a-Lago estate with 45 himself, President Donald Trump, and I’ll bring you right in, sir, ’cause I know our audience loves to hear from you.

This leads us to the special’s revealing insight into Jules: She says she’s still in love with “Tyler,” the fictitious character created by Nate (Jacob Elordi) so he could blackmail Jules. Jules now knows a bit more about why she falls in love “so easily,” as well as why Rue is different from the relationships that existed mainly in her head. Jules’ episode clarifies her perspective, just as it clarifies her actions to herself. Season 1 illustrated Rue’s dependence on Jules, but typically from Rue’s point of view. Rue doesn’t know how much pressure Jules feels to love her back, knowing that if she doesn’t, Rue could relapse.Īgain, these ideas aren’t new. Her mom repeatedly relapsed and left the house. But her therapist (Lauren Weedman) points out why Jules resists linking the two women: Both Jules’ mom and Rue are addicts, and both of them have failed to see how their addiction affected Jules. It made her feel good, and she imagines it’s how her mother once saw her, when she was a newborn. Hunter Schafer in “Euphoria” Eddy Chen / HBOĮarly in the session, Jules remembers how Rue would look at her and see the real her, whereas so many others only looked at her to search for flaws or see what Jules wanted them to see. But the root of Jules’ relationship issues with Rue ties back to the most scarring loss in her life this far: her mother. Episode writers Sam Levinson and Schafer repeatedly find ways to show that their main love story is as grand as it feels to the couple in it. Jules’ episode fills in the gaps, not only in how it sets up Rue’s stoned meeting with her sponsor later that night, but in how Jules has been experiencing their relationship. ‘Our Flag Means Death’ Season 2 Leans Into Its Love Story, but Loses Some Luster ![]() But almost anything related to work can become twisted in our desires to the point that it interferes with our love for God. Jesus warned of exactly this danger: “No one can serve two masters….You cannot serve God and wealth” (Matt. īecause many people work primarily to make money, an inordinate desire for money is probably the most common work-related danger to the first commandment. “Never allow anyone or anything to threaten God’s central place in your life,” as David Gill puts it. In the realm of work, this means that we are not to let work or its requirements and fruits displace God as our most important concern in life. Observing the Ten Commandments is conceivable only for those who start by worshipping no other god than the Lord. This false god will have its own commandments at odds with God’s, and we will inevitably violate the Torah as we comply with this god’s requirements. The other concern-be it money, power, security, recognition, sex, or anything else-has become our god. If we do have some other concern stronger to us than our love for God, it is not so much that we are breaking God’s rules, but that we are not really in relationship with God. The passage is virtually identical to Exodus 20:1-17-grammatical variations aside-except for some differences in the fourth (keeping the Sabbath), fifth (honoring mother and father), and tenth (coveting) commandments. Although the “second” greatest commandment is not stated explicitly in Deuteronomy, we will see that the Ten Commandments do indeed point us to love of both God and neighbor. Then Jesus added a quotation from Leviticus 19:18, “And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matt.
